Monoïkos 1297 is a Monégasque house that imagines, edits, and produces collections inspired by the heritage of the Principality. Each creation is a contemporary interpretation of its history, its landscapes, its art of living, its traditions, and the people who shape its identity.
More than a brand, Monoïkos 1297 positions itself as an editor of Monégasque heritage. The house selects the craftsmanship best suited to each project and collaborates with artisans and manufacturers of excellence to bring to life objects meant to be passed down, collected, and preserved.
Each collection tells a fragment of Monaco. A flower from the Princess Grace Rose Garden, an emblematic garden, a historical figure, a celebration, a commitment, or a craft becomes the starting point for a creation where heritage and contemporary design meet.
The name Monoïkos 1297 is itself an invitation to discover the history of the Principality. Monoïkos was the first Greek name for Monaco, a port frequented since antiquity and associated by ancient authors with the cult of Hercules. 1297 refers to the year François Grimaldi seized the fortress, marking the birth of the dynasty that remains at the heart of Monaco's history today.
Each creation edited by Monoïkos 1297 extends this dialogue between memory and creation. Through collections produced in limited series, the house gives new expression to Monégasque heritage and helps pass it on in a contemporary form.
