A PASSIONATE ILLUSTRATOR

Drawing (her passion since childhood), her exacting standards, her taste for fine materials, and her love of colors are integral to her creative universe. Her precise lines, talented sketching, and delicate paintings transport us to the high seas on the iconic boats of the Principality. What characterizes her the most is her ability to combine brush gestures with the mastery of a graphics tablet stylus. Collaborating with the most prestigious luxury brands, she has spontaneously and joyfully embarked on the flagship vessels of Monoïkos 1297.

A NOTE OF HISTORY

The seas and oceans hold a central place in the history of the Principality. The Monegasque sovereigns have distinguished themselves in many ways: through large-scale maritime expeditions in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea as early as the 12th century, through scientific campaigns from Spitsbergen to the Azores, and by founding the Oceanographic Museum and unwaveringly committing to their preservation.

Five boats are honored in this collection, five Monegasque vessels that illustrate the enduring and special connection between the Principality of Monaco and the seas and oceans.

The Deo Juvante: Deo Juvante is the motto of the Grimaldi family ("With God's help"), inscribed in their coat of arms. It is also the name of the yacht on which Prince Rainier welcomed Grace Kelly upon her arrival in Monaco for their wedding.

The Tuiga: The flagship of the Yacht Club of Monaco, the Tuiga was launched at the beginning of the 20th century. It is one of the Principality's jewels, still admired today at classic yacht gatherings. It continues to train many young sailors in the hard school of sailing, without winches… and without mercy!

The Princesse Alice and the Hirondelle: These two vessels were witnesses to the expeditions of Prince Albert I, his numerous discoveries, and the Monegasque sovereigns' early commitment to ocean preservation.

The Malizia: The Monegasque racing yacht, which has finished among the leaders in prestigious races such as the Transat Jacques Vabre, Route du Rhum, and Vendée Globe. The Malizia – Seaexplorer promotes the United Nations' sustainable development goals.

The silk

The silk for this large square has been carefully chosen.

This precious, shiny filament, obtained by unraveling the cocoon of a silkworm, naturally requires very high-quality production conditions.

Extremely sensitive to environmental quality, the silkworm cannot tolerate pollution and feeds only on fresh leaves.

Its breeding demands exceptional expertise: our artisans have selected the best sericulture farms.

Preserve the beauty of your large silk square:

  • Store it flat and untied.
  • Avoid direct contact with perfume.
  • Entrust cleaning to a specialized professional.
